How a project inquiry works

What happens between sending an inquiry and a price landing in your account.

A project we are working onUpdated Aug 5, 2026

An inquiry is a request to be quoted. It is not an agreement to work, and sending one commits you to nothing.

After you send it

Your inquiry appears in your account under Projects with a status you can check at any time. Somebody here reads it, and most inquiries come back with questions before they come back with a price. You can reply to those questions in the same thread.

When the quote arrives

A proposal lists what we will do, broken into lines with a price on each, and a date it stands until. You accept or decline it from the same page. Accepting is the moment the engagement exists.

If we say no

Some inquiries get declined. When that happens you get a written reason on the inquiry itself, not a form letter.
