Two ways to prove it
A restricted mailbox
Domains like .gov, .mil and .edu are issued against eligibility checks, so holding a mailbox on one is already evidence. Name the address and we send a one-time link. Opening it verifies the account. The link works once and expires after 24 hours.
A documented review
Most organizations have no restricted domain to hold. A hospital or a company can register any address, so proving one would prove nothing. Those requests go to our team, who write to the official address you give us. Answered within 5 days.
What it means
A verified account can mark the aircraft it registers with its sector. The marking shows on the airframe, on its records, and to our support desk, so a call about a public-safety aircraft or a school program is not triaged as a hobby build.
That is the whole of it, and the limits are worth stating rather than leaving to be assumed. Verification does not create a procurement relationship or a reseller agreement, does not change pricing or terms, and does not grant any entitlement to hardware, firmware, or software you would not otherwise have. An account holds one verification at a time, because an account belongs to one organization. We can withdraw one if the program ends or the account changes hands, and doing so unmarks every aircraft that carried the badge.
Buying as one of these organizations is a separate conversation. For procurement, contract vehicles and capability questions, government and defense buyers should start at the government portal, and everyone else at sales.
